User Authorization Role Types - Access and Visibility
We understand that when running an online advertising company, you don't want all people who access your Track Revenue Tracking Platform to see all of the valuable data it has to offer. Many different people will need to use your Track Revenue account, but it is a huge security risk to allow all users to see everything. Hence, Track Revenue's distinct User Account types with their specific roles and permissions.
We heard your need for added security and distinct account access and we answered!
Here's a list of the different User Account types that you can create:
- Administrator
- Manager
- Publisher
- Advertiser
- Configurator
- Traffic Buyer
- Traffic Source
- Sub Advertiser
- Affiliate
- Affiliate Manager
- Finance Manger
- Product Manger
- Sales Manager
User Authorization Role Access and Visibility Details
Administrator
The Administrator User Account allows complete access/visibility to all of the features Track Revenue has to offer. An Administrator has access to the typical functionalities of Track Revenue, such as the ability to set up Offers, Campaigns, and Affiliate Campaigns, along with the ability to view all necessary Statistics and Reports. However, in addition, Administrators can also access our many “administrative” functions necessary to manage the business aspect of running an online marketing company. This includes visibility into the company’s billing, along with the ability to create/manage and approve/deny all user accounts created under the account (e.g. Company Information, Billing Page).
Administrators also have sole access to a few of the core/foundational settings of Track Revenue -- settings that could halt an account from running properly if set incorrectly (e.g. Tracking Domains, Whitelisted IPs).

Manager
The Manager User Account is much like the Administrator but with a few limitations. Managers have complete functionality to run Offers, Campaigns, and Affiliate Campaigns along with full Statistics and Reports visibility. However, they are not given access to the most classified account information such as the Company Information and Billing Pages. They also are not given access to the core/foundational settings of Track Revenue that would stop everything from running properly if set incorrectly (e.g. Tracking Domains, Whitelisted IPs).

Publisher
The Publisher User Acccount only has only enough access/visibility to do the work of bringing in traffic by setting up Campaigns to run to your Offers. They are able to see the relevant Statistics in order track the success of their Campaigns. They are given a customized access to a certain list of campaigns that an Administrator or Manager can set on their Manage User Page.
Most importantly, everything involving your other Affiliates is invisible to them. In other words, they have a narrow view so that they can bring you traffic, without seeing anything they shouldn’t!

Advertiser
The Advertiser User Account is purely for managerial purposes. An Advertiser has no functionality to create/edit Offers, Campaigns, or Affiliate Campaigns. In other words, they can’t affect how traffic comes in on any level. This role is essentially a view-only role for an advertiser to check the Statistics of the traffic that is coming in. Like the Publisher, they are given customized access to only Campaigns that have been assigned to them as set by an Admin or Manager on the Manage User Page.

Configurator
The Configurator User Account was made specifically for setting up and organizing Campaigns and Offers. Configurators are not given visibility to any Statistics or Reports. Their essential duty is to make sure that Campaigns and Offers are up and running properly, rather than to work to optimize traffic.

Traffic Source

Sub Advertiser
The Sub Advertiser User Account is much like the Advertiser, except with further visibility limitations. Like Advertisers, the Sub Advertisers do not have the functionality to create/edit Campaigns. But in addition, Sub Advertisers have no access to view the Statistics Overview page. While they are given access the the Campaign List page statistics, it is a specialized limited view. Sub Advertisers can only view the Campaign ID, Name, Clicks, Leads, and Revenue columns. This is so they can only see statistics for the campaigns that are assigned to them, with no further visibility into where the traffic is coming from.

Affiliate
The Affiliate User Account is a role created specifically for YOUR affiliates. This role is unique in that it has no access to your primary Track Revenue tracking platform. Instead, we have created an entirely new interface for your Affiliates to run traffic to your campaigns without being able to see any of your highly classified traffic data. We call this magic the Affiliate Portal!
In the Affiliate Portal, Affiliates are given their own unique links to run your campaigns, along with the specific campaign details that you set for them. They also get their own personalized Statistics page so they can optimize their performance and bring you better traffic quality. It’s like Cake or HasOffers, except fully integrated. Yep! It’s as easy as it sounds.

Affiliate Manager
As the successful online marketing company we know you are, we know you have a lot of Affiliates! We created the Affiliate Manager User Account to help you divide the task of overseeing your Affiliates between different managers.
When an Affiliate signs up for an account with us, he is required to select an Affiliate Manager to oversee his work. Affiliate Managers are given the limited view of Statistics to the Affiliates assigned to them ONLY (as mentioned in blue below). They will also have access to all Reports so that they can see how the campaigns they are managing are doing as a whole.
